This part is not compatible with the 1997 GMC Jimmy 4x4 4
3/5

3 with central air conditioning This belt was purchased to keep in my car in case of an emergency. This belt should fit my GMC Jimmy with air conditioning, according to Amazon. It doesn't work like that, though. Despite the fact that my original belt had never failed on a road trip, I decided to replace it when I replaced the water pump. It's about an inch too short, which was fortunate because I didn't need it on any of my outback adventures or long road trips. br>br>Of course, it's way past the return period. On GM's website and other reputable auto part resellers, my 1997 Blazer with air conditioning requires the 6K960, but I receive a belt with the correct model number that is about an inch too short, despite the fact that all idler tensioners and pulleys are correct numbers. AMAZON and GM Parts Store have the WRONG BELT. Mis- labeled during the manufacturing process? This is also supposed to be the "Gold" part of the premium package. You believe that quality control would be excellent.

6K960 by ACDelco This ACDelco 6K960 serpentine belt is the perfect fit for my 99 K1500 Suburban with dual air conditioning, C60 (HVAC SYSTEM, AIR CONDITIONER FRT MAN CONTROLS), and K68 (GENERATOR,105 AMPj

The codes can be found in the glove box on the back of the door and cross-referenced with GM RPO codes found on many websites. The package indicates a 20mm (0. 97. 787" x 2453mm (787" x 787" x 787" x 787" 36”). This belt has a 95-degree OD, according to my measurements. 0", and the old Gates belt that needed to be replaced was 95 as well. 0”. I believe ACDelco 12564763 will fit, but at a higher cost, and I hope this information is useful in determining the various belt options available for this vehicle.

Keep your parts to the factory
5/5

I bought two Dayco belts from a local jobber to replace the ones that were worn out. They'd start squealing after about a week. I discovered on an S10 forum that I wasn't alone in having this issue. Others, including myself, have found success by installing this OE ACDelco factory part. br>br>The mechanic at the shop where I get my car serviced said he would have to disassemble the front of the engine and use a spacer to move one of the pulleys. Much less expensive solution, and swapping them out takes about 15 minutes if you're a half-assed DIY mechanic.

My 1998 Chevy Blazer (4 door LS model) has no problems with it
5/5

The product is well-made and operates quietly. My serpentine belt and radiator in my 1998 Chevy Blazer needed to be replaced at the same time. The difference in quality between this belt and the one I already had in my vehicle was eye-opening. After months of driving with this new serpentine belt, I can appreciate how smooth it works and how quiet it is. If you cut corners on quality, you'll have to compensate with quantity. Serpentine is a belt that I highly recommend.

I was let down
3/5

After only 15 minutes of driving, the belt snapped. I've been doing this for years, and I'm confident that I've correctly installed the belt and that none of my pulleys are out of alignment. Very dissatisfied with Acdelcobr>I paid more for Acdelco, but the quality isn't much better than the off-brand replacement parts.

Your vehicle came equipped with a seatbelt from the start! The belt is the right length to keep the tensioner in the middle of the motion! When it comes to spring tension, this is the place to go! Using a crank pulley, you can help eliminate any shaft wobble or pulley off center

No more difficult to install than any other belt. 80,000 miles on an old ACDelco belt with no squeaking!.

For the 5, this is the best belt
5/5

The engine is a 7 (R). 6k960 or 88932794 from AC Delco. This is the CORRECT GM belt for the Chevy 5 from 1997 to 1998. With air conditioning, there are seven Vortec engines. It's a genuine GM belt, so it'll be a lot tighter than aftermarket junk. Just add $4 to your total. 00 to get a replacement from the manufacturer. With belt chirp, you'll be able to avoid all headaches. Please keep this in mind. br> This belt will fit snugly at first, but will loosen to a proper fit after a few minutes. 100% rating in this place . AC Delco 6K960 or 88932794 belts are available.

They're decent, but not quite as good as they once were
3/5

It isn't going to last long. It works well, but it does not last as long as the previous ones. I'd pay more for a better-made belt, but there aren't many to choose from. Years ago, I could get years out of belts, but that is no longer the case. In today's land of VERY cheap car parts, you always get what you pay for when you buy a big brand name, and you always get what you pay for when you buy a big brand name.
