On my Hummer H3 from 2006, I had a bad squeak. The old belt was showing signs of wear, with large chunks missing from the inner rib, and the backside of the belt felt "sticky," despite my never using any belt dressing (which I don't because I believe it is a band-aid solution that may cause harm over time). br>br>However, it's OEM quality, was simple to install, and now my belt and pulleys are as quiet as they can be.
The AC Delco belts are expensive for some reason. A comparable belt costs 18 dollars, while this one costs 36 dollars. I'm not sure why, but they seem to last a long time and there doesn't appear to be any excessive stretching.
Simple to swap out. The factory oem aramid belt still has 55k miles on it (it was put in the trunk as an emergency spare). There's no need to be concerned about this one.
4x4), 5L I5, A/C It's simple to replace your old belt with this one. The belt squeal is no longer an issue because of how well it fits. It was a little difficult to feed the belt through all of the pulleys properly, but I finished it in under an hour.
After 12 years and 104K miles, the original belt had to be replaced. While I was in there, I did the idler (which I prefer to Hastings). It works perfectly, and Amazon's prices are unbeatable.
Perfect fit and a reasonable price; I'd rather pay a little more for an OEM belt than a cheap aftermarket belt that will wear out much faster.
It'll be interesting to see how it holds up over time.
There are no longer any issues, and I am at ease.
