No matter what head type you have, you should not be concerned if I recall correctly, this does not Even if it did, it would still be okay because my 400SBC fits.
I am writing to inform you that we have not tested this item in your application, and cannot guarantee 100% compatibility. If you are using heads with no threaded holes and you intend to have a long water pump, then this will work for you. Thanks so much for your help!

Works with all SBC blocks except the old ones. Despite having an alternator bracket that puts it so low that it squishes the lower radiator hose on a 1971 C10, the old blocks do not have any mounting holes to support a power steering pump. This kit has a score of 0/2. As part of a rebuild of a late model block, the lower vent holes have been They should spend a bit more time explaining, it would be helpful to everyone, or show a little more detail of the product as well. Overall, the quality of the product is pretty good, however the spacers could be a little bit smaller inside.
It's set up the alternator and my power steering pump perfectly. I am beyond happy with it. When you have 291 heads with no accessory holes, it is difficult to know how to line them up and how to keep the belts lined up. With this setup, all these worries disappear. I have read complaints about people not being satisfied, and I know it can only be because they don't know what they are Consider doing the following before you purchase one if your engine has an engine with a short water pump you will need to change it with a long water pump, which means you will also have to change your crankshaft and water pump pulleys. The belt lengths are wrong in the description of this set up as they are using an electric water pump which does not have a belt, so if you have a mechanical water pump, the belt lengths don't apply. It still worked and I got away with borrowing two of the belts from a friend who had a Saginaw power steering pump but not the one they recommend. If you have belts around the crank, water pump or power steering pump, and alternator, then this is the model you need. It's a great piece.
I have a 79 Monte Carlo that has a 350 crate motor that I just installed some double hump heads that did not have the bolt holes for accessories. The power steering pump is on the left side and on the text in the instructions, it is on the right. I look at my power steering pump and there is no bolt hole on that side, so I am going to have to buy a new one with the bolt hole on the right side.
This does not work with the stock water pump and leaves the alternator out of alignment with the driveshafts. It is very dissatisfying given the description indicates it should be compatible, and I will have to waste more time taking it off to return so I can get a part that works.
I'm in love with this product! It should take no longer than 15 minutes to install! There are no compromises in the kit. The quality is excellent and the machining is excellent. I found everything to be smooth and easy. You should note It is possible that you will need to run a washer between the bracket and high flow pump if you have an aftermarket water However, other than that, an excellent product, and very easy to use.
With the belt adjustments you can do so much more than with the stock belt. In my modified Chevy Chevelle, I moved my alternator to a lower position that really cleans up the engine bay.
It looks killer, cleans things up and I'm sure I will use it on all my small block Chevrolets in the future.
The mounts are very solid (a bit fiddely, but it's worth it), it lowers both without interfering with the crossmember, and it helps to clean up the engine compartment. THANK YOU. I'm very pleased.
