The shaft could be shorter, but it works well
4/5

The pulley works well, but you need to shorten the bolt in order to fit it on a GM power steering pump. After the power steering pump is mounted to the engine, you must install the pulley and you will need a shorter shaft/bolt for the installation. The car in question was a 2002 Monte Carlo. The power steering pump can't be removed without removing the pulley. I've tried from the top and the bottom, but you need to remove the pulley first.

I give it one star
3/5

I put antiseize in the threads before I used the pump. Unfortunately, its end snapped off when I inserted the pulley so I'm hosed.

Good quality at a reasonable price
5/5

I also have a cheaper version of this set from a Chinese tool store, but it falls far short of this one. This set has a decent quality for the price and I think it will last a long time if you don't abuse it. I was sure to grease all the threads and any moving parts on the tool before I started using it, which is critical when dealing with tools When disassembling this tool, use a rag rather than a harsh tool so the ball doesn't escape. Some of these pieces have ball bearings, which are mentioned in a couple of other reviews. As mentioned previously, they really reduce friction between the power steering pulley and the shaft, which is important in tight places like this. On my 1994 Ford Explorer, I used this kit to change the power steering pump. You can use the tool in the event that you remove the fan shroud and fan clutch (don't forget to use the fan clutch wrench set while doing this). To get enough leverage on the tool, I had to use two wrenches linked together. I found it to be a good arm workout when you change the pulley and put it back on, but it worked well for me and it was very easy to use.

Did what needed to be Applied to the power steering pump on a 2005 Jeep Liberty with no problems
5/5

It's easy to get on and off. The price is low enough to purchase it for one job and to have it for the next. Despite the lack of instructions, anyone can figure it out with a little common sense and YouTube.

A solid tool that just removed a corroded pulley
5/5

It's no problem at all. In the end, you could just purchase this for a low price. The last two times I used it, I was really impressed. The parts store has to go to the parts store four times to give a free loaner to you. It's nice that I don't have to rush tomorrow to get it back. I received the same tool and box from my local parts store!.

The money would be better spent on a OTCP I loved the way the puller worked, because the installer was not hardened and it pulled out without any problems
3/5

After finishing the installation with the old OTC installer, I switched over to the new OTC For anyone from the weekend warrior to the professional, I would not recommend this.

This is a wonderful device
5/5

I did not receive any instructions. Using YouTube help, I figured it out. I did it super fast. Now they'll probably just collect dust. (Ownership of an auto parts store costs twice as much as renting it.

Although a good tool, it could be made even better with some small In general, I think the tool is good, but there are a few things I would change
3/5

A card with instructions of some kind should be Would you please listen to me, KD? It probably can't cost more than 50 cents or so even if you're not a mechanic. I have been using this on an 1983 Delta and it worked fine. One of the two center threaded pulling/pushing pieces has ends that will come off, and underneath it has a load ball bearing that will fall out and roll away, and then you can't use it without another ball bearing, guess how I discovered that? It would be nice to have a warning on the card. My final observation is with the GM installer tool, the 9/16 or so size used simply is too flimsy. These belts are on very tight, I know I had to do that with my own. This is an example of a Snap-in There is a hole that's too short on the 9/16 wrench, causing hand pain. Use 3/4 - if you want to keep it simple Is everything 19mm on this tool? It could be a 5 star tool with a few minor adjustments. KD, how do you like it? By the time you've made those changes and raised the price a few bucks, your product will be a 5-star experience. The best I could do was give it 3 stars.
