Last week, I received a check engine light, and the code indicated that my vacuum pressure sensor had failed. I did what every other automotive DIYer does before rushing out to get new parts: I did what every other automotive DIYer does: I did what every other automotive DIYer does: I did what every other automotive DIYer does I looked around on the internet forums, and the majority of what I found pointed to corroded/dry-rotted/corroded/dry-rotted/corroded/dry-rotted/corroded/ Vacuum lines that have rotted. It appears that Audis have a habit of doing this. VWs. I removed my hood and all of the plastic engine fairings, and lo and behold, behold. vacuum lines that have been damaged. Audi makes use of the number three. Although a 9mm replacement hose is available, a 5/32 equivalent will suffice. So I did a quick search on Amazon and found 50 feet for under $15. This stuff is identical to what's available locally, with the exception that I'm not restricted to a total length of 6 feet. I can cut it to length if necessary. It's a hose with a very thick wall - not in the way that the generic image portrays it. It arrived just a few days after I placed my FSSS order. It comes highly recommended!.
Tough and long-lasting. For my STi, I built a custom intercooler and radiator sprayer.
Not only was the hose delivered quickly, but it was also the exact size I needed, which I couldn't find at AutoZone or Oreille's. It fits perfectly, and I don't have to worry about being overcharged at fifty cents per foot when I need it.
That's all there is to it. It's a little thicker than the tube it's supposed to replace, but it fits fine in my car.
It's marketed as wiper washer tubing, but it's too heavy and brittle. br>A flexible soda straw would be preferable.
