to a YouTube video on how to fix the toilet that came with it. Once you've seen it all the way through, put it on a tablet and watch it while you're on the toilet, pausing as necessary. This kit includes the bottom floor gasket and requires no additional parts. On my first attempt (which was successful! ), it took me about an hour and a half. We had a nasty larval infestation all around the base of the toilet that needed to be cleaned thoroughly (bleach, rags, and water)! br>Add a large, new trash bag to your list of disposables, and after you've undone the nuts on the bottom and disconnected the water supply, cover the entire toilet with the bag, pick it up, flip it over, and carry it outside for cleaning and repair. Just a suggestion to prevent any collected waste, bugs, or other debris from dripping across the RV as you transport it outside to be cleaned! br>And, for the love of God, don't forget to bring a large red Solo cup! (Check out the video!).
The two large seals were so similar that I couldn't tell them apart. One is for the floor, while the other is for joining the top and bottom toilet pieces.
Everything was in perfect working order, and the directions were extremely useful. It took me longer to clean the components than it did to install them. It had been a breeze. For the blade valve seal and the hub seal, I recommend using plumber's grease. If the kit included a smidgeon of it, I'd pay a buck more.
Every time we turned on the fan in the bathroom, we got a whiff of black tank. I had already replaced the air admittance valve and thoroughly checked the van for this, which appeared to be the only source of the problem. Simple to swap out. I even found a YouTube video that showed how to replace seals on my specific model.
In the advertisement, there are four items shown. Only three seals arrived, but four are required for the full service and maintenance. If you purchase this set, make sure to purchase the closet seal that goes on the base that connects to the floor separately. Although that part is shown in the advertisement, it is not included. Only three of the four seals required for the job will be delivered with this order.
I am employed for one hour. EXACTLY what Thetford Bravura requires to be rebuilt. Instructions are provided in great detail. The pivot hub seal was even pre-installed. it has been published Also included is a "Closet Seal" (to seal the toilet to the black tank), so you won't need to buy one separately. 5 stars. The only things left out are bleach for cleaning and common sense to avoid overdoing it. On a plastic toilet, tighten the hardware. Aside from that, you should be fine!.
like new! The parts were exactly what I needed and fit like a glove. It was precisely what I required in order to complete the task successfully.
All of the components were in good working order. Although some of the operations were a little tricky, the instructions were simple to follow. All- All in all, I was able to recondition and restore my RV toilet to working order.
