It's designed to do exactly that. This is a coolant hose that has been molded. It's made to fit one model of engine, and I'm not sure why it doesn't fit that engine. It's way too long, about three inches on each side. Trimming isn't new when it comes to automotive hose, but you have to trim off all of the fluted molded end to get it to fit, making it a loose fit. No way. br>br>Instead, look for the Dayco or Continental equivalent.
