It only takes a few inches to shave it off! The one I installed on my 2000 Grand Cherokee 4 had to be trimmed (upper or lower) but I do not remember which one. Its hoses were near perfect factory fit for one hose and needed to be trimmed for another a few weeks ago. Be sure to keep in mind the proper routing of the hoses before removing (you do not want to switch the hoses going to the heater). Attach the shorter part of the old hose to the new one. Do a double check and a double measurement. Make sure your cut is good. I was able to attach the inner hose diameters to the heater core connections and T stat housing without any problems. A quality product at an affordable price.

Both top and bottom heater cores must be fitted. A little trimming is required on one hose end, but otherwise it is very simple. It was still leaking on the carpet inside after I replaced my heater core so I replaced my hoses with these and the leak from the floor was eliminated!.

Two for the price of one! My 4 found it to be an ideal fit. There is no part number for the other heater core hose as some others have noted in their reviews. You will require two units if you are replacing both heater core hoses. You can now put this one on the other port from the heater core and cut it to the length you need! You might as well do both anyway, since one had a problem and the other will soon as well! I find it weird, but they really do FEEL & are actually very real AS IT IS, the hoses appear to be of good quality.

The coolant on my WJ was leaking, so I drained the coolant and replaced all the hoses. Cut the upper hose to match the original hose when I bought two of these. I liked it very much.
