This is because all of them are- I have ordered replacement thermoplastic parts made from aluminum. The OEM's came in thermoplastic, so I expect these should last longer. Especially interesting to me is the bottom coolant flange of the kit. This component does not use an "O" ring, but rather an additional Once I had cleaned the mating surface to remove grease or oil, I installed the flange using Permatex non-ferrous bolts. We hardened the sealant and the coolant was kept from getting out. We're much happier with this design as the previous one was a bit shaky in the sealing department. I was satisfied with the overall quality of the kit.

Plastic isn't as good as wood

This set offers good quality for the price. The castings are a bit rough, but a dremel tool had no problem smoothing them out. Compared to the plastic pipe fittings the first time, this is much better.
