Kits, on the other hand, tend to have a few useful sizes at the larger end of their size range, while they include about 9 uselessly small sizes, which incidentally come in larger 1. In this case, it's 1. I think it's about 0 centimeters, plus or minus a millimeter or so. According to my experience, this size range of tube or hose rarely requires any steel clamps, and merely barbed fittings are sufficient. In search of a clamp that was just a couple millimeters larger than the largest in the kit, I found myself looking several times. My clamps broke, so I had to buy new ones. It is better to buy the pincers and clamps on their own, otherwise you will have a bunch of little pieces of steel that are useless. I consider the pincers a basic tool that would be more useful and versatile in my application if it had an angled or 90-degree blade. There has been an offset head (I have seen versions similar to It is many times easier to crimp hoses parallel to the pincers if you clamp them parallel to the hose compared to attempting to crimp perpendicular to the clamp, at least on my automotive projects. All in all, the nature of the pincers appears to be good.

This is what was on the fuel lines of my Mercury Promax 300 outboard motor on which I used these clamps for the first time. As there were no leaks, the clamps were held as designed, and their installation was simple thanks to the tool. As far as I'm concerned, I'd prefer the tool to have both top and side jaws in case side jaws are needed.
