Questions & Answers
Only the wheel studs are used as mounting bolts.
This isn't for a TJ 4; it's for a TJ. 5x5
The NO answers are incorrect for those who are reading this. Vibration is the source of Death Wobble. Anything that causes vibration can cause a minor shimmy, then a shake, and finally a full-fledged shake. Wobble is blown. A faulty bearing will also cause the tires to lose their "orbital balance." "Other parts normally associated with Death Wobble will wear out as a result of this abnormal wheel wobble. Let's say a worn tie rod is the result of the bearing, resulting in Death Wobble. Replacement of the tie rod will mask the problem and stop the Death Wobble until the new tie rod is destroyed by the bad bearing. MAYBE is the right response. Almost everything in the beginning is suspect. Despite the fact that all parts are in perfect working order, the OEM track bar is too short for 35" tires - It will vibrate like a tuning fork because it isn't beefy enough.
I'm not sure; I didn't look into it. I can attest to the high quality of these bearing assemblies; I've driven them for over 6000 miles with no problems.

I ordered two and received one of the expected hubs and one of a low-cost knockoff from a different manufacturer. br>I then returned the defective hub and replaced it with a knockoff that appeared to have been used previously. br>br>If you're looking for wheel hubs, go somewhere else.
It's a hub assembly and wheel bearing. The product is of high quality. The fit is excellent. I installed these on my Jeep about a month ago, and I drive it at least 60 miles per day. There were no problems at all. For years, I've relied on Timken bearings for myself, my family, and my customers as a professional auto mechanic. You can buy them with confidence. Because it's a wheel bearing, it gets four stars. It isn't particularly impressive. It simply does what it's supposed to do, and I've only driven them for about 2000 miles.
These hubs are absolutely amazing. To begin, I'd like to compliment the hubs' packaging, which includes bubble wrap to protect the hubs. That is a sign of a company that is concerned about the quality of their product; the machining is first-rate, and the weight is substantial. These were one of the recommended brands for a Jeep in several Jeep forums that I read. Some people have complained that their hubs did not match, but both of mine did, and the box even has a special hologram sticker to verify that they are genuine Timken. The part number and the Timken symbol were laser engraved on the hubs. For Jeeps and other heavy-duty trucks, I strongly suggest this brand of hub.
I put these on a 2000 Jeep Cherokee XJ about three weeks ago and immediately drove 160 miles straight. So far, everything has gone well. Although some reviews indicate a problem with quality control, the hubs I received were both brand new and well packaged. I did a lot of research to see what the best option was, and Timken seemed to have a lot of good reviews and was well-vetted. I'll keep you updated if anything changes, but there's no problem right now.
I was hoping for a positive outcome after reading mixed reviews. Unfortunately, one of the bearings had side-to-side movement right out of the box (making it illegal to use on the road), while the other was operational but suspiciously noisy. I've ordered more replacement bearings and will toss the second one in the trash as soon as it arrives. Return shipping is not an option for me because I live in New Zealand.
I ordered two of these for my 2002 Jeep Wrangler TJ with a Dana 30 front axle. Both were new at the time of purchase. They are of superior quality when compared to the OEM versions. Fits perfectly and has a solid feel to it. I'm running 33" tires with spacers, and they've been great so far.
Fits perfectly on a 2005 Jeep TJ Rubicon. This is something you can do at home if you know how to turn a wrench. NOTE: Each side took less than 30 minutes. After installation, one of the lugs on one side became a little loose. I know I torqued it down, and I can only blame it on factory grease mixed with some off-brand lubricant. roading. There isn't any harm, and there isn't any harm - People, double-check those lugs after a few miles!.
For Jeep TJ 2001, this is a perfect fit.
