What I needed did the trick

I was able to stop the leak in the o ring. Sadly, it didn't come with the 19 teeth it was supposed to have. 81's corvette had a 20-tooth transmission that was well-suited for my driving.

I find it to be very useful

Added a bag of oil to the speedometer housing in the transmission and stopped this leak.
