Is it fun to rip apart a brand new piece of art? What do you mean, no? That's great, then you need to purchase this bad boy, which will help you align your LS cover easily. provides youtube videos on both this and the rear alignment cover so that you can know how to use them. I love this product, it is quite pricey, but I think it's IMPORTANT NOTE In this style, the seal must be installed after the cover is installed. This is not for covers that have been sealed. They do offer a way to do that (although they do have a style for doing.

A few hundred bucks does the same thing for Chevy specialty tools for less than a quarter of the price! Besides the rear main seal, it can be used as an oil-driver for the front main as well.
