Although it worked well in my application, I am not sure the product is the best for a critical part like timing an engine. The product is a little too light and the metal can be bent or moved, which could disrupt the timing. This should be a bit more difficult. The timing equipment of today will not present a real problem, but if the money had been invested, the equipment could have been made a little more complex.
