There is still a Saturn Vue 2006 model, which is still the first generation. On my 2003, I replaced this part two times in the last six years. If this works with the 06, then go for it. This part was likely still used on the manual transmission in the 2006 model year, even though there were a few other changes to the interior.
While I am not certain whether it is an original equipment manufacturer part, it was the part number I needed to work on my Saturn. It is not too difficult to replace the part.
