It stinks to be the GM There is an issue with the part

My VIN number was got directly from the GM database, so I purchased the part that way. As it turns out, the part is not sized properly. It was difficult to align the guides (notches) with the corresponding pattern in the hole in the panel for the retainer, so I forcefully moved it into place with a wire. Since I heard that GM's 2020 products hit critical mass, I thought it was a joke and its quality has been in a freefall for decades. It worked after trial and error when I forced it into place, so I gave it two stars. I don't know of any other part besides this. As a result, if you need this, you guys will just have to deal with it The end result worked perfectly, but was it really worth it?.

This is a trim piece for the accessory-and-cigarette adaptor

The part functions as if it were a factory part. It is best to replace the power sleeve with a new one for auxiliary or cigarette adapters. Guide the retainer properly into the slot using the correct alignment and put it on the sleeve. Simple to do and does not take long.

Here is an update that fixes the adapter issue

It is convenient for me to charge my cell phone and my radar detector using a cigarette lighter adapter. Due to my car's tendency to keep the adapter running even when my car is turned off, I had to keep unplugging it and each time In order to prevent this from happening again, I bought a new adapter that I could screw into the center console. I found it to be a great solution in my case.
