There is no change in the RTV as I've seen all videos that use it. Despite this, the Hassell-crown is straightforward and easy to install A free gasket from Felpro was the perfect solution. I cleaned up the area, put the gasket on, torqued it to 30ft pounds, and there were no leaks at all.
I bought the wrong one, so it's my fault. As you would get from autozone or discount auto parts, this is the exact style and type. The 9 is the 25, not the 25. You get the same brand and everything that you get at an A little thin, but it gets the job done. The material is actually silicon, but looks just like cardboard at first glance. I did my differential change myself, and I plan on buying this again on my next change it is the perfect size and does not leak. I do think the rubber should be thicker, but for now, it works fine. In case you were wondering, my truck is a 2007 Dodge Dakota SLT 2wd V6.
I was able to use this for a 10 bolt rear differential cover on a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport 4WD.
It ended up going back to them, not because there was something wrong with it, but because I do not need it anymore.
