My 2002 Miata's front seal was leaking, and this was the perfect replacement. Oil used to leak from behind the crankshaft from my old seal. The oil leak has been completely stopped thanks to the new one shown in the picture. The old seal can be found on the ground, while the new one can be found on the box. UPDATE 07/27/20: After only a few months on my Miata, this junk is leaking just as badly as (if not worse) than the one I replaced it with. I wish I'd paid a little more for the original equipment seal. It worked perfectly for a few months after that. I suppose I got my money's worth. Don't waste your money on this nonsense, it's not worth it. All of the oil can be seen in the four-month photo. After only four months, I'm not looking forward to having to replace it. UPDATE 01/01/21: In August, I replaced this seal with an OEM Mazda part, and it has been in place for about 5 months with no leaks.
The part number 710355 is for a crankshaft seal, not a camshaft seal. PLEASE NOTE: Amazon's product description is incorrect once again. Timken 710355 is a Crankshaft Seal, NOT a Camshaft Seal. br>I ordered two of these instead of one Timken 223420 camshaft seal, despite the fact that the product description stated that it was a Crankshaft seal. br>br>High-quality replacement seal that installs quickly and easily with lubricant. Flexible lips run the length of the inner diameter. If you're concerned about the origins of something, it's made in Taiwan. I wasn't interested enough in the Japanese-style food to pay twice as much. Ishino or Mazda OEM seals were used. My '97 NA has only covered a few hundred miles so far, but there have been no leaks.
It isn't a camshaft seal, according to another customer. Fix the title of your product. Timken seals are my favorite, but only when the right ones are available.
I only buy Timken seals and bearings because of their high quality.
