It was bundled with a free installation tool, which I did not buy. In a 2002 F350, the axle seals between the hub assembly and the u-joint

On the axle, there is a joint. If you don't have an installer tool, it is a real pain in the rear to install. The process of making one was easy for me as others have done it as well. This seal provides a good bond between the axle shaft and the seal. Thus, the vacuum hubs can work properly as a result of a tight seal. It used to be that I had to manually lock my hubs, but this is no longer necessary.
