For GM 12 bolt cars, this is the correct pinion seal

This pinion seal was purchased for a 1969 Chevelle SS equipped with a GM 12-bolt rear differential. Many pinion seals for GM 12 bolt rear ends were designed for pickup trucks and are about an eighth of an inch too deep for car 12 bolts. For CAR GM 12 bolts, this seal is the proper depth. The difference in depth between this seal and the one that came off the car isn't visible in the photo, but it was at least 1/8" deeper.
