It is the most external part of the switchboard.
I'm not sure because I used it on a 2000 Ford F-150.
Unfortunately, Dorman does not have one listed for this vehicle.
My 1999 Ford F250 XLT is equipped with it. The dash, controls, and window and door power switches are all the same from 1999 to 2004.

It was 7 bucks and buddy, so I bought it. What you pay for is exactly what you get. The switch works, and the cap fits, but only if they're not used together. Because the switch button can't fit through the hole in the cap, it bottoms out when it's installed. You cannot turn the OD on or off as a result of this. It's completely pointless. I ended up using my old switch and the new cap included in the kit. If the old one in your Ford breaks, do yourself a favor and replace it with the OEM one; you'll save time and frustration. I hope you find this information useful.
This works well as a substitute. The end cap on my 1994 F150's column shifter does not fit as well as it should and is a little loose for some reason. It doesn't "click" in as well as the original. To get it to seat and not pop off during shifting, I had to dab it with a tiny dab of gorilla glue. Aside from that, the product is fantastic.
Differences do exist. I used my original 1992 F150 shift lever to test this button and bezel. The bezel didn't even come close to fitting- It appeared out of nowhere. The bezel fit correctly when I replaced the shift lever with a new OEM one, but it needed a drop of super glue (the gel type) to stay in place. br>br>The old-fashioned way of doing things br>br> The style bezel is held in place by longish "fingers," which is a much better design.
Because the old one had failed on my 93 Ford, I used it. When I touched the shift lever, the new bezel fell off. I replaced the old bezel and haven't had any issues since. Keep your old one in case something similar happens.
The cap has a loose fit and frequently pops out when shifting the gears. While shifting, I've developed the habit of putting the cap on. I'd say it was a good buy for the money because a dab of epoxy or RTV should fix it.
The button can't fit through the hole because it's too small. I misplaced the cap but kept my factory button. The cap will not fit over the supplied button, but it will fit over the factory button. I could have drilled it out to fit the new button, but since it fit, I decided to leave it alone.
The button does not stay in the socket as well as it should. The quality is extremely poor. The button does not stay in the socket as well as the factory button. I sanded the hole to remove the lip from the mold, and it stuck to the bezel. The bezel will not snap onto the shift lever. In the end, I decided to use the factory one.
On my '97 F-150, it's been installed. 150 It is simple to put together. When seating, I just wish the outer cap had a stronger "snap. " That's always a plus, and this one stayed put.
