The straps are much more effective and affordable
3/5

Because I didn't have access from the front, I found this to be useless for removing a couple of Group 31 batteries. For half the price, I purchased a battery strap that was designed to be used over the battery posts to lift the battery up. Because my batteries had a bolt attachment point, I used two of them, along with fender washers and a battery strap from my local hardware store, to remove the old batteries and install the two new ones.

This book comes highly recommended
5/5

It performs admirably. When transporting a heavy battery, the rubber pads keep the jaws from slipping. It's a lot less expensive than professional battery carriers. br>br>The maximum capacity of this tool is almost reached with a standard 24F battery (which is used in many imports). I've never used a bigger battery with this tool before. br>br>I would recommend this battery carrier to anyone looking for one.

It's fine, but it's big
4/5

Although it performs as advertised, I believe there are better, less expensive alternatives. I recently purchased a new Interstate battery, which came with a basic rubber strap. Small in size, light in weight, and simple to operate. So, in conclusion, this carrier is functional, but it isn't the best option (at least for me) available.

I wish I'd known about this earlier
5/5

For the price, this is a decent battery lifter, with ribbed soft jaws that grip the battery sides well. This tool can be used on almost any car or boat battery. The max. the size Because of its strength, it can't be used on very big RVs. Batteries for pickup trucks This was purchased for the purpose of removing batteries from a mobility scooter battery box. They have a couple of Velcro patches on each of them at all times. To keep it from moving inside the plastic box, you'll need a battery. The problem is that you can only hold the batteries in your fingers. My fingers aren't as strong as they once were. This lifter is thin enough to fit between the box and the wall. the energy storage device I had to cut two more notches to make it fit, but I'm ready for the next battery change now.

For batteries with a lip on the top, this method is ideal
5/5

For those 40-pound batteries, this method is ideal. However, all of the batteries I've tried have a lip on the top, giving me confidence that the battery won't fall out. It's possible that I'll come across a battery with entirely smooth sides. I'm not sure how well it works on those because the carrier would have to rely solely on friction on a plastic surface to keep it in place. It's possible that they don't make batteries with smooth sides, so this is only a theoretical issue.

I've carried full-size batteries to and from my boat dock with this thing about a dozen times in the last few months, and it does a great job
5/5

The longest distance traveled so far has been around 100 yards. I've yet to drop one on my foot, or any other part of my body for that matter. br>br>The battery is held in place by the carrier, which prevents it from slipping and makes the process of moving much more bearable. Even in ideal circumstances, carrying batteries is a chore. . . they're heavy. br>br>However, you can make the most of the situation by using the FJC 46173 battery carrier.

Battery pulling is not an option
5/5

These are what I use to get heavy boxes and rolls off my shelves. I work for a distribution company, and some of our products are quite heavy and difficult to remove from the shelves; these are ideal. They last a year or two, which is impressive considering the amount of work we put into them!.

What a hunk of garbage
3/5

THE PRODUCT ARRIVES IN THE CONDITION IN WHICH IT WAS DESCRIBED. OPENED THE PACKAGE TO FIND ONE OF THE CLAMP PADS HAD BEEN BROKEN OFF AND WAS ALSO MISSING FROM THE PACKAGE. INSTEAD, I USED TWO PAIRS OF VICE GRIPS, AND IT WORKED FINE. THE SENDER WAS NOTIFIED, AND MY MONEY WAS REFUNDED IMMEDIATELY.
