Hello, I have a 1998 Jeep Cherokee that is identical to yours, and if you don't have the original J hooks, you can probably find universal ones at Walmart or any auto store. They may, however, be longer than OEM and will require trimming at the top so that they do not catch on the inside of your hood when it is closed. If necessary, cut the material with a Dremel cutoff blade or a good hacksaw.
The j- was left out of mine. hooks.
If you don't have OEM T-shaped hooks, universal J hooks will most likely suffice. However, you may need to cut some of the top end off so that it does not hit the hood's inside.
