Questions & Answers

Will this work on a Ford F150 from 2005? I know Amazon says it doesn't fit my vehicle, but I'm curious if it really does. ?

I have no idea. It fit perfectly on a 2000 Ford Taurus that I used it on. Check to see if the battery sizes for both vehicles are the same; if they are, they may be compatible.

When I removed the old one, I broke the bolt. Do you have any suggestions for removing the broken bolt?

br>br>Find a self tapping bolt that will fit. It must be longer than the hold down and able to attach to the base, or you may get lucky. br>br>Drill out the broken piece or use an extractorbr>br>Drill a hole in the holddown for the replacement bolt to go throughbr>br>Attach bolt, don't overtighten, just enough to secure the batterybr>br>You will need to reach down to tightenbr>br>Or you can buy a universal hold down kit and make it work may require some minor mods to installbr>b

I only require the long bolt. Is there a chance I could just buy it? Should I just replace the entire system because my truck requires two and has tandem batteries?

Simply buy a bolt from a bolts and nuts supply if you only need it. 6mmx1 is the size of the bolt. 0mm.

Will this work on a 1993 Ford F150 xlt 4x4 extended cab truck?

It should fit both my f250 and ranger trucks if you use the wedge type hold/down.

It's most likely correct
5/5

Despite Amazon's claims to the contrary. Despite the fact that the Amazon website stated that this would not work with my 2005 F-150, I bought it anyway. It was a perfect fit for my passenger-side battery, which had lost its hold-down mechanism. When I bought the truck, it was marked down. The story is told through the photographs attached.

EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR
5/5

My HOLD DOWN bracket is nowhere to be found. A Ford Taurus was purchased in 1997. In March of 2021, she will turn 24 years old. I noticed the battery shift one morning as I was connecting the battery maintainer/charger. What? Guess what I discovered when I peered behind the battery? The battery had not been battened down in any way. The bracket and bolt for the HOLD DOWN were not present. I have no idea how long the battery slid around on the tray under the hood. Is it true that it happened after I replaced the starter? Was it following the installation of a new battery? Was it after I upgraded my air conditioning system? Is it loose and falling out by itself? (I seriously doubt it. ) The Positive and Negative battery cables are already coiled. The line from the starter to the end of the line has also been stretched thin. Every auto technician is a human being who makes mistakes. I should have double-checked, but I was too preoccupied with other things. I like Amazon Garage because it tells me if the parts will fit in our old car. Amazon is to be thanked.

It performs exactly as it should

This item did an excellent job of securely anchoring the battery in my 2004 F-150. V-Lariat 250 lariat 250 lariat 250 laria It's made with ridges that fit snugly into the battery pan's recesses. You now have a very securely mounted battery after tightening the bolt. To make installation easier, I chose the longer of the two provided bolts. To properly tighten the bolt and secure the battery, you'll need either a box wrench or an adjustable wrench. It only took about 5 minutes to complete the installation.

These could just as easily be labeled with the letter O
5/5

in the content description They are fantastic! These are almost identical to the originals. You can use the long bolts for easier access and replacement in high-maintenance vehicles, or the short ones, as I did, for a cleaner look. br>They could have gone with either and still be happy with the results. If they aren't durable, I'll come back in a few months to update. Obtain them. br> You'll have them installed in a matter of minutes and won't have to worry about the battery bouncing out again.

My 1999 Ford F-150 was made for it
5/5

350 V10. My truck's original hold down is missing, and I'm not sure what happened to it. I had switched out the battery for a non-rechargeable one. I used to use a standard size and made a custom hold down, but when I went back to a stock size, I couldn't find the hold down. I'm sure I forgot what it was the last time I cleaned out my junk pile. br>br>This worked perfectly - I used the long bolt to make it easier to access for maintenance without the need for long socket extensions. That's a nice feature that wasn't present in the original.

My 1995 Ford F-150 was a perfect match
5/5

If you're like me, you lose small car parts from time to time, and being able to get this for a few bucks online to keep my battery charged is fantastic. Installs identically to the original. They provide two bolts, one of which has a long head for easy access in the engine bay. br>Excellent value for money and a straightforward product.

However, when using the OEM battery tray, it works flawlessly
4/5

This worked great with my 2001 Ford F250's OEM battery tray, and the long black screw makes it much easier to get your battery in and out without having to use a long socket extension. The screw has an excessively long threaded end. The screw end hits and punctures the windshield washer reservoir under the battery tray while tightening down the block and holding the battery in place. It wasn't the end of the world, but it did require some trimming in order to function properly.

On my 2011 Ranger XLT 4, they fit perfectly
5/5

0L 4x4. I recently purchased a 2011 Ford Ranger 4x4 with the four-wheel drive system. 0L, and I noticed that the battery was not securely fastened to the battery base plate during my inspection. All of the attachments that should have fit were simply missing. I discovered this battery gem after searching ebay and fordparts. com for the proper fit. It fit and worked perfectly on my new battery, which I installed today; however, Amazon claims that this product does not fit my truck, which is not the case for me. There are no problems at all. The shorter of the two screws included in this kit was used. If the need arises, I will without a doubt purchase again.
