3/8-inch standard On the bolt end, a 16 UNC nut spins.
In a bubble/card package, there are two posts.
BAF- The first is made of lead.
Most likely, but I don't believe they're advertised as such. br>I just checked them, and they both have the slight taper that you'd expect on a battery terminal. The positive post is slightly larger than the negative post (18/19mm vs. 17/18mm).br>I'm not sure why you'd go down that path instead of just buying a battery that fits your vehicle's terminals. It's worth a shot because the price isn't prohibitively expensive.

Upon further inspection, it was discovered that one of the post's threads was essentially non-existent. existent. If no one noticed, it was a pretty bad quality control. Of course, I'll be going to the parts store because I really need these today. What a squandering of resources!.
I was concerned that the threads would be the wrong pitch or size, but they fit perfectly and, contrary to the photos, are well finished and smooth. They also include a POS and a negative, rather than the two POS shown in the photos. br>br>Really aided in increasing the battery's charge. Our charger could only charge at 1 amp through the battery cables when using the stock classic cables. With these in place, it went from a 2-star rating to a 3-star rating. The battery is 5 volts and can be fully charged in a single day.
The battery posts are fantastic. I was pretty sure I had a parasitic battery draw in my car, so I decided to take it out and charge it separately in my garage on a bench charger. So I bought these to use as "temporary" battery terminal posts and hooked up the charger to the battery. I was pleasantly surprised at how substantial and meaty these posts were! On both the negative and positive posts, the bolts and threads are perfectly tooled, as well as completely solid and thick! Many things we buy nowadays are of poor quality, which is unfortunate but true, but this is not the case with these. Also, the shipping was quick.
I find it to be effective. br>On spare batteries, I use them with battery minders. br>In the past, I've experimented with large bolts with varying results. br>These critters appear to make better contact, don't wiggle around as much, and so on.
I have a car battery with side terminals (no posts) that I need to keep charged. These posts are simple to install and fit perfectly - Alligator clips are now available for charging.
To move the battery to the trunk, these were used as a makeshift battery post. The taper on these posts was a little too much for full contact of the original terminals, but that's fine. br>Worked well with some basic 1/0 terminals, washers, and nuts.
I used this to install a battery from my chevy into my dodge charger, and it works great! I had purchased an extra battery eight months prior, assuming I had a bad battery in my suburban when I didn't. The $200 one in the charger died after 4 years of use, so I got this to replace a spare battery that had only been used for a week and was sitting in my garage. I was able to save a few hundred dollars by not having to replace the battery.
PERFECT FOR CHARGING A BATTERY ON THE SIDE POST. I BOUGHT THEM FOR THE PRICE JUST TO HAVE THEM ON HAND IN CASE I NEEDED THEM, AND I DID NEED THEM TWO DAYS AGO. THE PROCESS WAS MADE EASIER AS A RESULT.
