For this purpose, I needed some junction blocks in an RV and had to extend some wiring. As I was using AWG6 wire, I was looking for a way to protect the wire lugs from accidental shorting, so I purchased When they are slipped over the wire, they can then be dragged up to the junction block, preventing accidental touches to the connection, and they fit well on the junction blocks that I used. The caps of these connectors are bulky enough to completely stop the wiring from coming out of the junction block, and they are rugged enough to take pushing and pulling along the cable. A terminal / stud cover was needed to protect the terminals on my Rebel Battery Lifepo4 battery. I was able to push a 1/2 inch ring terminal on the wire through it without ripping it On the terminals in my trailer that were wired with a six gauge wire, I had to trim off a little silicone from the wire end. After that, I slipped it over a large terminal and it worked fine. It is a product that I would totally recommend.

As I cut the opening to fit my wires, it was no problem. They do not protect the battery terminal completely, and that is the only issue I have. In order to cover the wider area of the battery terminal, there almost needs to be a skirt.

For the battery cut-off switch in my vehicle, this item is great. It can be trimmed easily to make it fit flush if you need to.
