It is a good quality part. In order to connect the high output alternator to the battery, I needed to run a heavy cable, but the stud on the starter was too small. Therefore, I bought this terminal block to give me access to additional points for adding I found this part to work perfectly and be of high quality. In addition to having a nice backing on the base that it is screwed to, it is made well. It is screwed to steel in my case, and to fiberglass in my case. We assure you that this is the right part for the job.
The battery relocation worked well since it was the only fully enclosed option I could find other than that everything else just kinda sat.
While it is a bit on the expensive side, it does exactly what I needed. There is something wonderful about the plastic screw. You will find a description on the cover of the book. Remove the four plastic covers that cover the openings of the four gates without following the instructions. As I watched them I assumed the covers would swing out, but they actually slide out of the way at.
The product is very heavy duty and of high quality. Included are knock outs on the cover. For the pictures I have included, I have used 4/0 battery cables with 3/8 crimp on connectors for reference. I also drilled out and slightly enlarged my 3/8 crimp on connectors to fit onto these lugs.
The size is nice, and the material is The mount was easy to mount. It was OK to use the screws provided with the project, but the sheet metal self tapping screws didn't fit, so I swapped them for better ones. Most likely, I will order this product and similar ones from this manufacturer and supplier again in the future. During my order process, I ordered a 3/8-inch.
My first impression of these was that they were quite heavy duty. In addition to the use of the hole covers, the covers slide out downward so they can be reused. The two of them almost looked like punching bags The first time I tried it too, I was a little confused.
This is a heavy-weight, solid product. My engine compartment's ground bus bar is used for the main ground bus. A clean installation is made possible by this cover with removable sections. I recommend it.
It allowed me to connect the power cable to one terminal and the other terminals to distribute power throughout the home. The connecting bar was thick and heavy, the windows could be removed for wire access, and the backing was neoprene.
