It makes no difference which position this cutoff switch is in when charging your battery because it is a cutoff switch. Because the charger is normally connected directly to the battery posts, this has no bearing on charging.
The part number for that item would be 55-.
"ON" = "OFF" = "ON" = "OFF" = "ON" = "OFF" = "ON" = " It all depends on how you intend to use the switch.
125 amps continuous, according to everything I could find on QuickCar. Most automotive starters reach a peak of 180 amps before dropping to around 100 amps when cranking.

The switch is still not working after two weeks. There is no sound when I turn the key because the battery is completely dead. I suppose it was overheated. The truck started right up after I unplugged the switch and reconnected the cable directly to the battery. The battery has a capacity of 12 volts. 43 volts. As a result, I'm unsure if the switch will be able to handle it. br>According to the manufacturer's instructions, connect it to the red positive side. br>Unfortunately, the switch is not as good as it appears. br>br>The switch came with no instructions or photos on how to install it. Only a few sheets of paper were included with it. Products that are reasonably priced. br>br>I place an order for a new switch with a 12V continuous amp rating of 250 amps and a surge amp rating of 2,500 amps.
This switch was activated while I was relocating my corvette's battery to the trunk. I used two 1/8" rivets to secure it to the top of my Optima battery bracket. It turned out to be a very smooth process, and it's well-installed. The switch itself is of excellent quality, moves smoothly, and is attractive. The overall solution has made me very happy.
This isn't your run-of-the-mill Chinese nonsense. When I opened the box, I discovered a top-of-the-line, high-quality on/off switch that was extremely heavy-duty. I used this off-road truck to relocate a battery and was very pleased with the results. When the switch is turned on or off, it has a diecast handle and a positive action. If necessary, I would purchase another, but his is in good condition.
For a battery disconnect, it was installed in an RV. I have to turn it on every time. When I'm actually turning on some rv 12v led lights, I feel like an action figure heading to def com five or arming a missle for battle. But it makes me feel like a real man when I do it. This is an excellent construct. Six months later, substantialbr>br> It continues to function.
It's something I'd order again if the opportunity presented itself. This part was used in the construction of a stock race car, and both the price and the quality were excellent.
Solid, long-lasting, and practical. This switch was mounted directly on a vehicle's battery box as a battery disconnect. The solidity of this switch is impressive. It's simple to assemble, install, and use. It's a little thicker between the plate and the copper posts, but that's nothing I didn't expect given the product dimensions, which were included in the product description. This purchase has made me very happy.
This is an incomplete list. It's possible that it won't be suitable for me. I just got mine and haven't had a chance to put it together yet. It appears to be well-made and of high quality. br>My issue is that it might be difficult to use in my pontoon boat application. br>I had intended to mount it to a 3/4-inch-thick wood instrument panel. br>br>The mounting panel isn't large enough to cover the size hole I need to drill in the panel to accommodate the switch. br>The switch must be installed from the backside of the dash panel, and it can only fit a panel that is about 1/4 inch thick. br>br>If photos of the switch from the side had been available, it would have been clear that the mounting panel is only slightly larger than the switch body. br>br>All right, let's get started. The switch appears to be in good working order. It may not work for me, and I had no way of knowing before I bought it because the Amazon listing lacked sufficient information and photos about the product. br>br>EDIT Feb 21, 2021. Someone asked a question about this switch, so I went back to review it again. I was able to operate the switch, but because it was four years ago, I don't recall how I resolved the issue. I can confidently state that the switch performed admirably in my application, which was as a master switch for my boat's accessories.
br>It's so much easier than lifting the back seat off and reconnecting!.
