Questions & Answers

I ordered and received one, which had 5/16" posts and was rated for 48 volts. I tried it again, and the result was the same. Is it a typo if it says 3/8 posts and 60 volts? Is it possible that you've sent the incorrect item?

This has happened to me three times already. They continue to send me a 48V unit.

I have a front mounted quick connect jumper cable setup on my 24v service truck. Is it possible to use this as a temporary power off until I need it?

I used it to switch between two 52v lithium ion batteries, and it worked perfectly. However, you should double-check the switch's terminals to ensure it's properly wired. My wiring was messed up. Example: The switch label stated that one battery was connected, but it was actually connecting both. Best of luck!

Is there such a thing as a one-stop shop for everything? Is there a way to turn off the isolator? To put it another way, I never want "both" to be an option. ?

A toggle switch is exactly what it sounds like: one or both on, with the possibility of both being turned off

Where can I find a rv wiring diagram?

I don't have a diagram, but I think I can figure it out. Begin by connecting the negative post of the battery to one side of the switch. Connect the negative wire that goes to the coach from the switch's other side. From the battery to the coach, the switch should be connected in series. I hope this has been of assistance.

For RV batteries, this is ideal
5/5

My RV camper is equipped with two parallel-connected batteries. This was installed to prevent parasitic loads from draining the batteries while the camper was idle in between trips. It's a 3- It has a two-way switch that allows it to run on both batteries at the same time, or just one, or turn off all connections. It didn't come with instructions, so I had to look up a wiring diagram online, but it was relatively simple to put together after that. The switch has two small removable panels on each side to allow wire access to connector posts, but removing the panels leaves a large gap in the switch's sides. I drilled holes in the panels and ran the cables through them for aesthetic reasons and to keep the interior from being exposed to rain and other elements.

Flaky - It works some of the time, but not all of the time
3/5

The position of the switch has been marked incorrectly. It appeared to work after I installed it, but the switch positions were mislabeled. Then it ceased to function. It started all over again after that. I took it out of my trailer and connected it to a continuity tester. What an unexpected turn of events. The switch would work for a short period of time, then stop working. After that, there is work, and then there isn't. And the switch positions for Battery 1, Battery 2, and both were constantly shifting. Battery 1 ON used to be OFF, and Battery 2 ON used to be OFF. I have a feeling something is moving around inside. I'll make an effort to get it back to you.

It's a nice dual-purpose vehicle

With one exception, there is a major flaw in the battery switch. This was purchased to improve the electrical system in my camper. The coach or engine batteries are selected or disconnected using this switch. The size, mounting holes, markings, and side knockouts for wires, among other features, are all excellent. But, unlike all other Batt1-related issues, I have a problem. Both- Batt2- This switch is not "make before break" (or mine is defective), as I have experienced with other off switches. Normally, when switching between switch positions Batt1-Batt2, on this type of switch (one that IS "make before break"), when switching between switch positions Batt1-Batt2, on this type of switch (one that IS "make before break"), when switching between switch positions Batt1-Batt2, on this type of switch Both- Before breaking contact with the previous position, the switch would make contact with the next position, Batt2". As an example, if you're switching from BATT1 to BATT2 - > BOTH of the switches would be activated at the same time. Batt2, and don't let batt1 go. That way, no power would be lost to the load (in this case, my entire camper). The same would be true if you were switching from BOTH - > BATT2. Again, making before breaking would ensure that no power was lost. br>br>Unfortunately, this switch does not work. When switching between these different positions, the audio cuts out. As a result, power is disrupted, causing the entire camper to hiccup, and anything that relies on continuous power to reset or go bonkers. Ouch.

Allow yourself time to consider your options
5/5

A holesaw works great for cutting a hole. I also only drilled one of the four mounting bolt holes. Tomorrow will be the last three bolts to be installed. However, it performs admirably on my Kawasaki Mule 2013. The main battery is only 12 amps at 12 volts, but the second battery from Rex Battery is 34 amps at 12 volts, and they sold a box that fit perfectly under the mule seat. I also installed a 150 amp resettable breaker on battery 2. I just received the seat covers from Amazon as well. It was an uphill battle. Lol.

My Jeep's battery shutoff worked perfectly with this
5/5

This switch works great, I mounted it on the firewall and it will give me the option of powering my starter and main jeep power with either battery or both. I purchased it for a battery shutoff in my Trail Jeep for when it sits unused, as well as I plan on adding a second battery in the back of the jeep, this switch works great, I mounted it on the firewall and it will give me the option of powering my starter and main jeep power with either battery or both. I wired everything up using 5/16 hole copper connectors on 2 ga wiring, and I'm very pleased with the results.

Small, compact, and simple to set up
5/5

It was exactly what I needed to set up and run my dual batteries. I was given the option of completely turning off the power to my travel trailer.

Both- Switch to disconnect the battery when the power is turned off
5/5

I had to install this one because it was a spare for my new trailer; I'm glad I bought it because I had to replace the original one before going on my first trip. It worked flawlessly and I was able to charge it while on the road. This is something I would buy again.
