On a truck that is over 20 years old, wire was needed for a big 3 upgrade. Only OFC copper, and not any of that CCA crap, was my priority. In the past, most OFC kits cost $20-50, and that was a bit excessive. This is what I found next. In fact, I even replaced the starter, alternator, and ground wires with this Spartan wire as well. They were already crimped and heatshrunk. It's an awesome wire, by the way! Copper strands are thick and dense, and the terminals are very thick I noticed that some of the terminals are heatshrinked and appear to have adhesive linings. You may be able to unseal the adhesive liner from the insulation of the wires by excessively bending it. I don't know if that will become an issue in the future. Then I put another piece of adhesive headshrink over it to ensure it was secure. There is a small peep hole in the terminals, and I'm concerned that moisture will corrode them. It was filled with solder after I poured it in. I am impressed with how they are so far, but only time will tell how they will fare. Automotive stores do not sell anything as good as this. As well as custom orders, they also do it. I'd like to see Spartan start selling quality OFC rolls in 14 gauge, 12 gauge, and 10 gauge zip wire in rolls. The only ones I saw on Amazon were the GS Power zip wires, which are also excellent.

This battery cable is well made. As someone who has worked in the electrical industry for 30 years, I can attest to its quality. There are no problems with the tinned lugs or the crimp. The shrink wrap can't be removed. Wire the size of 2AWG is easy to bend with the super flex wire. On the whole, I am very happy with my purchase. It is a great product that I would recommend.
