In my initial testing of this unit, the battery voltage was constantly falling It was connected to a trailer and the aux battery was connected to 5 volts, causing this unit to do what it should and cut power to the aux battery. It was not going to work with an aux battery on the trailer. There is only one way to bypass a "smart" or variable alternator, and that is to TURN ON YOUR PARKING AND By doing this, the ECU triggers the alternator to provide a constant supply of power to the car. While the engine is running, there is no voltage to the battery. You'll notice that your alternator voltage drops to 12 if your lights are turned off. The voltage should be no more than 5v.

A long and thick cable easily reached my house batteries at the rear of my extended fullsize van to connect to my starter battery. Installation was easy and there were simple instructions to follow. This charger maintains the charge of my secondary battery very well. The unit is defective

Do you allow me to return the isolator alone? When I start it up with a 13 volt battery, it won't work. The second battery has been charged to 8 volts and I'm still not getting life from it. It is important for me to maintain the integrity of the wiring. There is only one thing I need to change.

Be careful when you buy this product

There is no warranty information nor a phone number by which you can contact tech support. The white wire from the isolator is not mentioned in the instructions as where it goes. Upon returning the kit, I will make a refund. The situation is not good.
