Replacement for the original equipment manufacturer. DD. KY. Because of the kooky a$$ bolt and nut on the alternator, I had to cut off the cable. I ended up buying a pair of those plier style crimpers from harbor freight, despite the fact that they were only rated for an 8 gauge, and crimping on a 3 dollar connection from Orielly. Unlike my regular linemen pliers, which simply pinched it, these pliers crimped a good solid connection with an indention. So I didn't need it, but I'm keeping it in case there are any future problems! I would recommend this product to others and would buy it again if the opportunity arose.
The wire is thick and heavy, and the length is sufficient. The length of the wire in the small electric box was insufficient. To make it reach on myn99 suburban, I had to splice in more wire.
Had to cut length to fit but worked perfectly. Would definitely recommend.
This worked perfectly; the car now starts and charges much more quickly.
A fantastic replacement for a 4th generation F-150 that has reached the end of its useful life. Camaros with a body and Firebirds. These were also ideal for the LS swap I did on my 3rd generation Firebird.
Nothing prevents the starter's connection from shorting to the solenoid start thermal or ground.
My 1999 Camaro Z28 had no problems with it.
Although not as good as the originals, this gauge is still a good deal for a factory replacement.
