Only the start solenoid and the alternator should be connected with this cable. Unless your setup is different, the fuse cable is connected to the terminal by itself. Between the fuse cable and the alt/starter cable, place a spacer. I purchased this for my 1999 Suburban, and it was a simple swap.
43" is the length of the lead.
My 98, which is the same truck, had no problems with it. It appeared to be an inch short, but it fit in the loom across the radiator and worked fine.

Instead of getting an EXACT OEM replacement, I had to cut the cable and replace the battery post insert because this DOES NOT MATCH THE 2003 CHEVY TAHOE LT. I wouldn't have bought it if I had known.
There are no rules. Nothing changed my 98 GMC suburban's starting problems, and I'm not fond of it. There are no specific instructions. YouTube isn't much assistance. It made no difference in my 98 GMC suburban's starting problems. It's going back to you.
On a 2000 GMC K3500 SIERRA, I replaced the positive battery cable. My old one was so corroded that it couldn't even start the truck because it had lost conductivity. After replacing this direct-fit component, the truck started right up. Note: The cables from the positive terminal on the battery to the alternator and starter are included in this. It was exactly what I was looking for.
It appears that this version is superior to the original. br>I bought this for my Chevy pickup truck from 1998. br>I've had periodic positive cable issues in the past, but this cable has solved those problems so far.
Cable of excellent quality at a low price. What's the best way to counter that? Unfortunately, while installing it, I snapped the post off my starter, but that was my own fault, not the cable's. Just keep in mind that the starter nut should not be overtightened!.
The battery cable was exactly what I expected. For an Optima Red Top battery, the included battery side bolt is too long. Listed as a battery that can be installed on the side. These should be universal, as expected.
This item was a perfect fit for my 1997 Chevrolet C1500.
It's fantastic.
