In addition, there are two 3/8 eyelets on the ends, but none on the one side. It only ends at On the other hand, I drilled the hole I don't think it's a big deal. This is a great low-cost product that works well
It is possible so long as the battery is a post type and you have a terminal clamp. In the event of a side terminal battery, you might be able to connect directly to the battery, depending on the size of the bolt.
In Arnold's store, the battery cables are 10 gauge and are used on lawn and garden tractors.

The end with the 1/2" size is the only end that has this size. There is no description in the product description that clearly states the end hole is 1/2", but only one end is 1/2" and the other end is only 1/4". Thus both ends are too small to fit on the normal post of It was reported to Amazon that the product description was inaccurate. People might change the description if they do this, so that more people are able to have the same experience as everyone else. Furthermore, these cables do not have an accurate product description. They are also very light. If I were to use them on my car battery, I would be extremely concerned. There is a photo of a lawnmower on the package. I strongly disagree with the description of them being heavy duty. Below, you can see a regular battery cable I had in my RV so you can see how much lighter and smaller these cables Don't buy these unless you're going to use them on a lawnmower. The size of the invoice should not exceed $2,500.
Following a mistake in which I wired two batteries together and melted the first set, I bought another set and realized the batteries work much better when wired properly. As an alternative, I have an a/b switch on my boat, so if one battery dies, I can switch to the second battery and keep the boat running without having to be stranded in the middle of the lake. Unlike many other thin wires, this one is thick enough for electricity to traverse. As a result, they get five stars.
These cables are used on an RV to connect two deep cycle batteries in parallel, positive to positive and negative to negative. When measuring them, I excluded any slack, so the cables were just barely long enough to connect the batteries, but that was my mistake, not the cable's. When I went to plug them in, I found that only one end of the cable would fit perfectly over the threaded post of I drilled out the hole in the other end of the cable to use it, as it was made for a screw, and I had to drill it bigger than it was. There are crimped on cable ends, but I didn't have enough length to cut off the end and crimp a new end that could handle a larger hole, so I drilled out the larger hole and it works okay.
In the order form, I was unable to tell what gauge (AWG) these cables were. In order to double the capacity of the current cable, I used two of them together since both of them were too small. If possible, I would like to see them labeled with the gauge number and perhaps larger gauges will be available.
Upon, discovering that returning product would cost almost as much as I paid for it, I hope I can prevent you from making the same mistake. $7 is $7, I hope I can save you some hassle and expense in the future.
Even unfolding the cable straight, one can see that the end connectors are already dislodging from the cables. The cables are not crimped on very securely, and they are expensive to purchase. Looking around for a better built cable lug might be a better choice. Better still, get a crimper and toss the ends in yourself if you have Because the holes were too small for a battery terminal post, but because they separated so easily from the cables, I was afraid if I tried to drill them out, the lug would fall out completely. A quality, secured cable setup can easily be built on your own, and it is easy and simple to do. Maybe you are thinking what it would take is just to put a new lug on and crimp it like you describe instead The reason I paid for the cable is that I wanted a finished product! Please accept my sincere apologies. Anyhow, a 4 awg cable is a bit too small for a 12 volt battery and even less so if you are connecting in parallel or in series with another battery. For the current to pass back and forth easily and in a larger diameter, it needs a more substantial wire like a 2AWG. It's also important not to create a bottleneck. As it came in time, I will give it two stars.
Finished setting up my riding mower with these, and they are a great price for a decent set of battery cables. They seem to be reasonably well made. If I ever need another set, I'd be more than happy to purchase another.
There is a number 6 gauge wire here, not a number 4 gauge wire, as some people have said. This may be due to the fact that they are not built for high amp draw applications, such as trolling motors or winches. Cables like these are designed for low-amp draws in lawnmowers and motorcycles that run on 6/12 volts. This set of three 6 volt batteries is used by three batteries in parallel. I love how it works!.
