On the ram 1500, there is a P0520 error code
5/5

My 2013 Ram 1500's service light went on. (5. 7) The code p0520, which is the oil pressure sensor, was returned. br>I did some research to see if it was a job I could complete on my own, and it is. br>A 1 - is required. 1/16-inch deep socket, and possibly a step stool The sensor is located on the front of the engine, above the oil filter. br>The plug is a little difficult to remove, but simply lift up on the grey tab (not too much) and pull the plug back. br>Replace the old sensor by unscrewing it and screwing in the new one. Because I have no idea what the torque is, I turned it until it felt good and solid. br>Now all that's left is to reset the code by plugging it in again. br>Use a scanner to clear the code, or disconnect the battery for about 20 minutes, or simply drive the vehicle for a few days and it should clear itself after a few cycles. br>br>This was the solution to my problem. I hope this information is useful to someone else.

It's a job, and it's a demanding one at that
5/5

I don't mind dismantling things and attempting to repair them myself. But it turned out to be a little more than I had anticipated. The component is located between the engine block and the firewall at the very rear of the engine. To get to it, you must remove the upper and lower air intake manifolds from the engine. Yes, the engine. This will expose your cylinders for a short time. I was able to swap the part out and reassemble everything. However, it took HOURS longer than I had expected. It also led to me having to troubleshoot additional issues. (Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that I had heart surgery on my Jeep. ) Not likely. ) If you're unsure about trying this one on your own, enlist the help of an experienced friend or pay for it to be done. I've included a photo of what I had to do to my engine to swap out the part; on the bright side, it's a simple procedure that can be completed with common tools. It's going to take a big 1 1/16 socket.

No oil pressure warning light is no longer a scary warning! Oil pressure sensors in Chrysler products can begin to leak, resulting in intermittent or complete failure and the illumination of the Dashboard oil pressure warning lights
5/5

Because the locations are always difficult to replace, opting for OEM parts gives you the best chance of avoiding an aftermarket failure and the aggravation of having to do the job twice. Note that the original sender is a full hex, so specialty sender sockets will not work to remove it. I had success with a deep impact socket. For installation, a sender socket will suffice. In addition, all leaked oil from the terminal pigtail must be removed and cleaned.

Remove the OEM factory-installed sensor with a 27mm screwdriver
3/5

On my 2007 Magnum, the original factory installed sensor did not fit snugly. Socket: 1/16" As a result, I had to return to the store and purchase a 27mm socket in order to remove it. This Mopar 5149062AA unit, on the other hand, will work with either 27mm or 1-inch tubing. Sockets with a diameter of 1/16 inch This new gadget performs admirably. The engine check light has now been turned off. I'm hoping it will be able to last for many years. After installing the new pressure sensor, make sure to reset or clear the trouble code (P0524) on OBD2. br>br>12Jun2020: br>br>Updated on 12Jun2020: It had already broken. It was only used for three months. The star rating has been reduced to one.

Engine Oil Pressure Sensor 5149062AA from Mopar
5/5

For the 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4X4, this is a great OEM oil pressure sensor replacement. It was a little difficult to set up; Because the 4X4 drive-train was in the way, I had to go through the same cutout for oil changes. After the oil pressure sensor code has been cleared, it works flawlessly. You could use a regular 1 1/16" deep socket or an oil pressure sensor socket (Lisle 13250 Oil Pressure Switch Socket). A 3/8" or 1/2" U-bolt is also recommended. Adapter for a ball spring joint socket. Having those two extra items will make the transition much less difficult.

My vehicle requires a different part
3/5

My Dodge Ram 1500 (V6 3. 0L) was manufactured in 2006. 7L). This item appears to fit my vehicle based on the description. This is not the case. A three-dimensional image can clearly be seen in the pictures. a connector with pins My vehicle's connector, however, is only wide enough for two pins (and only has one). I went to Orielly's and got the correct part for $13; the good news is that replacing it only takes a few minutes (if you have a 27mm deep socket)- There was nothing else that needed to be moved or disconnected. So, if it fails again, swapping it out isn't a big deal.

I've figured out how to turn off the oil light! I've figured out how to turn off the oil light! The fit was excellent, and it was an OEM replacement at a fraction of the cost of the local dealer
5/5

I had some trouble getting it to start threading in, but that was my fault for not properly aligning it. It was relatively simple to set up.

A true Mopar! Genuine Mopar and a perfect fit for my 2007 Chrysler Aspen with the 5
5/5

Perfect fit for a 7L Hemi. More importantly, it resolved the issue and enabled the engine warning light on the dashboard to be turned off.
