After replacing my engine coolant and tune-up, I had it installed by my mechanic. routine maintenance, etc. , etc. , etc. , etc. , etc. , etc It failed six days later! The engine cooling fan stopped working completely on the way home on a day when the temperature was 94 degrees (AC running), and the temperature began to rise; not wanting to risk a blown head gasket while stuck in stop-and-go traffic, I pulled over, called AAA, and had the car towed to be safe. My mechanic put the cooling system through its paces. circuits, fuses, relays, fans, and so on, and, lo and behold, It was the Mishimoto MFANSWITCH Fan Switch 80, a low-cost "Made in China" model! Our other Honda's identical switch was "Made in Japan" and had been in the car for a long time. Clearly, Mishimoto's quality has suffered a significant decline. I'll send it back. It's a waste of money.
If you live in hell and need to keep your car cool, this is the way to go.
good qualitybr>great partbr>easy to installbr>works as advertised.
d17 has a problem with overheating. At 80 degrees Fahrenheit, this thumps the fan. Autox and hard driving are both recommended. It was something I should've bought a long time ago.
I previously purchased this and it assisted in keeping my car cool during the summer. I used a standard thermostat to keep it warm enough for the engine, but I turned down the fan switch to keep it from going too high. The switch is ready to use. Also, I've never had a problem with the previous one.
It does exactly what it says. It does exactly what it says. My 2000 Honda Civic Ex (D16Y8 engine) was a perfect fit. As a result, the car is cooler. br>br>Edit: br>After less than a month of use, it stopped working. The car overheated, so the original fan switch had to be replaced. not good.
Mishimoto is a Japanese word that means "to make a The best cooling product on the market!.
