Yes, it will work with the GM steering box's inverted flare.

The threads are approximately a quarter of an inch long

Power steering racks (11/16 to AN6) aren't suitable for my needs. For an NPT, the threads are far too short! Fluid leaked out of the O-ring because it was not threaded deeply enough. Ring out. br>br>(It no longer came with an O-) ring, and you'll almost always have to use Teflon tape A NPT), but neither tape nor O-rings will work. Even though the ring was on an AN6, it dribbled out. br>br>I believe the threads (approximately 5) on these are far too short. br>br>I placed an order for two of these no-gos. br>I've already placed an order for the O- Ring Russell 11/16 in the hopes of a successful seal. May the force be with me. br>br>.

A custom power steering hose was made with this fitting. A steering box from a 1983 C10 was used. There were no leaks, and the fit was excellent.
