This joint is called a Heim This is a good example of a light duty Heim joint

A fair fit between the housing and the ball is achieved, not the tight connection that would accompany did an excellent job on my small project where clearance was not a problem. It is recommended for use in light duty applications.

These tie rod ends worked well for my son's go kart. They are lighter in weight than what you might find at a hardware store, but they work great for a kart tie rod end.
