No - This is incorrect for a Honda Element. According to the catalog, you should use SG226011 (Hatch Strut support) for a Honda Element.
I'd like to emphasize that these are extremely powerful. It's possible that it's TOO STRONG for many people. Because the hatches are so stiff, my wife finds it difficult to close them. When you open the hatch, it'll be a different story. The hatch flies up with incredible force, so keep your distance. If I could go back in time, I would buy the standard strength version, which is similar to the one that came with the vehicle.

Both lifts can be removed and replaced in less than a minute - Once you've propped up the door and are confident in your abilities. While you're relocating and replacing the lifts, someone will need to hold the hatch open. Alternatively, if you don't have anyone to assist you, find something (2 X 4) long enough to prop up the hatch while you remove the old lifts and replace them. To pull the clips back on the lifts' ends, all you need is a small slot screwdriver - The screwdriver should be inserted into one of the small slots above or below the clips. There's no need to completely remove the clips; simply pry them out about a quarter-inch and the end-product will be fine. The lift's socket will pull the ball from the body's screwed-on socket (no need to replace the ball). The hatch will be raised an inch or two higher thanks to these new lifts - As a result, once you've removed the old lifts, you'll need to raise the hatch a little so the end-of-the-year-end-of-the-year-end-of-the-year-end-of The old balls will align with the sockets of the new lifts.
These are AMAZING in this regard! To close the hatch, you'll need both your arms and a lot of force. I believe these would be very useful if someone had a tire or ladder on their back hatch, but I believe they are overkill for a regular hatch with no extra weight.
The force (lbs) rating comes with a warning. Very good quality, and it fits my Honda Element perfectly. It took me about ten minutes to complete the installation, including the time it took me to read the instructions. The brand name is the same as the OEM version, but the model is different. Keep in mind that these have a higher Force (lbs) rating if you're getting them for a Honda Element. The lift gate will open more forcefully once these are installed, and closing it will take more muscle. That's something I really like, but when my kids and wife had to open it, it caught them off guard. The light gate may smack you in the face if you are not careful. Ouch.
My old struts were worn out to the point where the rear hatch would hit me in the head while I was getting things out if it was cold outside, and the local auto parts store wanted twice the price for the stock-looking replacements. a replacement part that is spec'd aftermarket. I learned about these on a forum, and they snapped into place in about 5 minutes after pulling out the retaining clips with a pocket knife. Even with my bike on the bike carrier (which is mounted on the hatch! ), they're more powerful and last a little longer. The hatch, however, will remain in place. It is not at all difficult to close. As if you've just purchased a new car:.
Purchased to replace or upgrade the rear hatch lifts on a Honda Element. These are much more durable than the worn, drooping original equipment lifts they replaced, and I was sick of bumping my head. I was able to get both of these for less than the cost of one from a dealer, so I decided to give them a try. It only took about 10 minutes to install. These have a total weight of about I'm running 101 pounds of pressure instead of the factory's recommended 70 pounds, but I figure it'll leak down to a "failing" range of 70-80 pounds over time. Just an opinion, but 80 pounds would make you look like a brand new spec original replacement.
I got something for my Element. This is a fantastic enhancement. Both sides took about three minutes to install. Amazon shipped the package in an odd box, but it arrived in perfect condition. The lift's packaging, on the other hand, was a cracked plastic sheath that appeared to be old and weathered. Strange; the product, on the other hand, appeared to be in good condition.
It's a step up from the OEM set-up. Because of the length, the price has gone up. It is now completely effortless to open the back hatch. As if things couldn't get any more difficult. This mod was a slam dunk, and I highly recommend it!.
