Putting them in my stock 99 Jeep Cherokee was a good choice.
To remove the bushing, including the metal sleeve, you must remove the whole piece.
I believe both springs and shackles were used

The Old Man Emu leaf springs for my 1997 Jeep Cherokee will be installed as soon as they arrive. It looks like I'll only need 8 of the bushing halves in the kit, but I have 12 already. A general question might be posed by this The kit is designed to fit a variety of leaf spring bushing bore sizes Let's wait and see what happens on the Neither the bushings nor the grease come with any plastic flash, although there is a generous amount of grease (4 packs) included in the kit. The finish is yellow zinc plate, though I am not sure if that is typical or not. I like the new pins on the pins, they seem sturdy. 5 stars product, seems easier to use These components are manufactured by Ada or Crown Automotive. The following steps should be followed after installation There is A LOT of stiffness in these bushings. Pops and crackles like a popcorn machine when they pass There is an adverse effect on ride quality. In their place, I will replace them with rubber bushings. In the event there is no improvement, I may reinstate the 5-yr ban I gave it five stars.

This is a great kit and fits perfectly. Nevertheless, the company does a very poor job of selling this kit with only the amount of Super Grease they provide. What the company provides will only cover two There are many people who complain of squeaks and this is because they use the wrong type of grease. The only way to use Super Grease is to use it. The grease normally used on bearings will not stop It's because they provide too little grease that they get these poor reviews. You are urged to grease each bushing with a thin film of grease as required by the instructions. What a bunch of nonsense you said. Grease any metal surfaces where the bushings will touch, and liberally coat them with grease everywhere they will touch. If they don't squeak, they won't be noisy. I'm giving it 3 stars because it is a cheap (accountant beans) How does the counter work? I would like to thank (a) company for producing an awesome product that made my '92 XJ ride better.
NOTE XJ leaf springs are only compatible with STOCK XJs. An excellent product and value for the price. Featuring high quality components and top notch grease, these products are the best on the market. Only a few tiny tubes of grease are provided, thus taking away the extra star. To avoid squeezing, I believe you should apply it thickly and put poly bushings on top of it. I made the mistake of ordering them assuming I already had this spring set up. Since I realized I had the wrong size, I now have the Five leaf packets of 5". ONLY STOCK SPRINGS CAN BE USED WITH THIS.
You should give it a go.
The wheels are fairly quiet without any squeaks what so ever! Make sure you use the grease to fix the squeaks!.
However, these fit perfectly on my 1996 Jeep Cherokee even though they could have come with more grease.
