Cheaply, I was able to correct my alignment issue

Before I bought my 2004 Forster, it had some sort of right rear damage. Because of the increased road noise at highway speeds, I assumed it needed a wheel bearing, but after about 9 months of ownership, the right rear tire's inner tread had worn out excessively. Because this car doesn't have adjustable camber in the rear and something was bent and needed to be replaced, my (now ex-) mechanic warned me that it would most likely cost between $500 and $1000. (I couldn't find the bent part, and he never even put it on the lift. ) Since I know my way around a garage, I ordered a set of these bolts, installed one (I didn't need both), and adjusted it in my driveway with a carpenters level. The excessive road noise is almost gone, and the car is actually handling better. I'm going to take my Forester to an alignment shop and have them do a better job with the adjusters (or at least that's what I'm hoping for). My ass is going to be $500.
