Questions & Answers
Yes, it'll work on the vehicle's back end.
That is correct for your 2014 Challenger.
It only works on the upper, not the lower. A standard ball joint press kit with adapters, such as our 75209, should suffice. If you only need one vehicle, I'd recommend renting one from O'Reilly or Autozone.
"I believe the 72509 would work better," our techs said when I asked them. There are a couple of videos on YouTube that demonstrate this.

This is a well-made tool that I used to replace the upper ball joint on my 1998 Honda Civic. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that it isn't just for Hondas; it appears to be for other small Asian cars as well. My only gripe is that the installation application's illustration was incorrect for my vehicle. It worked fine after I flipped the receiver piece over. The "universal adapter" did not mate with the receiving piece in this arrangement, and when the screw was tightened, it had the potential to kick out. I believe the necessary components are included in the same manufacturer's adapter kit. I'm a do-it-yourselfer, so I'm hoping to avoid having to replace many ball joints. If I have to do anything else, I'll get that kit to cover all of my bases.
I'd been putting off changing the ball joints on my 2002 Acura rsx type s for a long time until I found this tool. It appeared to be far too simple. But it wasn't the case! Simply press out your old ball joint with the tool, then flip it over and replace it! The alignment is perfect at the time of installation, and the ball joint cannot be installed incorrectly. br>br>In terms of frustration-free performance, it's well worth the money. It's essentially a beefed-up C-type. You'll need a clamp and the appropriate fittings. br>br>Most shops will charge you $600 to replace your ball joints. With the cost of this tool and joints, I was able to complete mine for $150. Exceptional tool! br>br>.
In my 2002 Lexus GS300, I purchased this product to remove rear traction link bushings from the knuckle. Hardened steel is used to construct the tool. Other bushings were also relatively simple to extract and replace. The open end is one appealing feature. br>br> It was necessary on a number of occasions. It has a limited number of adapter options, but I was able to make do when necessary.
The rear hub bushing on the IS300 is perfect.
This is a fantastic resource. I bought it to replace the upper and lower ball joints on both sides of my 2004 Honda Accord, and it works great for the upper ball joints but not the lower ones.
Unfortunately, I was unable to obtain. Fitted a 96 Honda Civic Ex but not a 97 Honda Civic. I couldn't get the top part of the spindle into the spindle. I was able to rent a car from a nearby shop. Purchase is not recommended.
excellent.
