When I ordered them, I had no idea how to build my own wires from the Street Fire kit, since I'm used to doing so. I need to take a detour OVER the valve cover as they are not long enough to run in front of my motor. The wires themselves are nice, other than that.
They even look great under the hood when you separate the spark plug wires. A small piece of clear tape was attached to each spark plug wire with its number. The diameter of the spark plug wires to the spark plugs on my 79 280ZX match perfectly with the firing order numbers on the distributor cap, and the length of each spark plug wire to the spark plug is perfect. The engine is the stock inline 6 that came with the car. Despite being a nice thick shade of blue and feeling very firm, the spark plug wires are a good thick gauge. I have had them in my car for 5 months and they are still looking like new. They seem like they will last a long time. If you're using MSD ignition If you're using MSD ignition Wires such as these should work well with MSD setups. I have an MSD Street Fire CD ignition coil and a MSD Blaster 2 ignition coil installed on my 79 280ZX. With these wires, it produces a lot of spark.
It is a very positive product. It stays connected to the plug and cap in an incredibly tight manner. My 727 Datsun 280Z is much less prone to radio interference because of this product.
As well as the wires, I loved the numbers on them. A NGK product will never let you down.
There was no listing for these high quality cables for that old of a car, so I chose this set for a customer's 1960 Falcon. It took me a few minutes for these to fit well, I just had to cut the distributor end and rejoin the They love the color and the way it looks.
The Ngk wires are numbered, so you know you are buying a dependable brand. There aren't many companies that go to that extent. I have one complaint, but it is on the packaging side. This direct fit is for 1972 240Z models. So far, it seems to be working well. There is a nice blue color to them (as shown in the picture), and each wire is labeled for its respective On a Z car, this wiring is almost impossible to screw up.
