They are being used to repair spark plug wires, which is what I planned to use them for. It appears these split loom hoses are too small and leave a minimum gap of 1 mm along the spark plug wire. They may not have been intended for use with this application, but reading the specifications, it should have worked. A bigger size looks bad on the plug wires, which can make the plugs look ugly. This was accomplished by rotating the split loom so that the large gap not covered by the loom is on the bottom of the plug wire.
The plastic felt cheap, was not a uniform shade of blue, and some areas appeared lighter than others. In addition, I ordered two other sizes of 3/8th and 1/4, which did not feel as cheap and did not have any transparency to them. The Spark Plugs are not recommended for these. However, I am sure they are fine for everything else.
I'm not sure if I just got a bad product or if the product was too old. As soon as I opened the package, many pieces of the loom fell apart and were lost. There was nothing at all 10' about it. I don't think it would be reliable to prevent pets from chewing on wires. When the animal bites on the item, I am worried it will swallow the pieces that fall apart when it bites on it.

You get a lot in a nice package. I like the color of this hose because the engine bay heat easily passes through it. It was a good deal for the price. You cannot afford to miss out on this. There is nothing cheap about it.
