My distributor is a IBR4001, and the pertronix rep said this 1362 would work on my 1959 ply savoy 6 cylinder. Ebay and others show everything but mine?

I double-checked with Pertronix, but it was fine on my 1953 Plymouth Cranbrook.

I have a 1949 Plymouth with a positive ground system and 6 volts. Is it possible to use the 1362 with this?

I'd ask the question in a Plymouth forum. It might work, but the breaker plate might need to be modified. Look for a club or an online forum that can provide you with more information.
