The best solution is to get the distributor's phone number and look it up in the Pertronix catalog.
There should be a number on the part to go by, but I'm not sure if it will work on the 3010.
It's a straightforward process to go from points to an electronic very hot spark. I converted my Massey Ferguson 65 to electronic, and it's never been easier than it is now. There's no more filing or replacing points, but I kept the old parts. It is well worth the money and time to convert, and I intend to do so with more of my points vehicles.

It may sound like a dream come true, but for a very low price, your old gas engine can regain its showroom feel, and that is not a lie! When I was restoring my Massey Ferguson, I purchased this ignition. TO- Ferguson 35 tractor for the farm. My daughter was about to get married, and she wanted the ceremony to be held in one of our fields on the bank of a river, so I needed to get the tractor running again quickly. The timing was all over the place because the distributor bushings were worn out and the shaft was so loose. I spoke with a Pertronx technician to ensure that the ignition was appropriate for my needs. When I bought it, I was a little hesitant because the reviews were all over the place, ranging from it being a piece of junk to it being extremely difficult to wire. Well, let me tell you, if you can't hook up two wires and double-check the firing order, you have no business under the hood. It only took about 15 minutes to install the ignition. Simply remove the points and rotor, replace the points with the frame that holds the sensor module, slide the magnetic trigger over the shaft that the points would ride on, and turn the key to start the engine. The tractor has consistently fired before completing a single rotation. I would not hesitate to recommend this ignition; I am extremely pleased with it. (I did not dyno test it but it sure feels good)I would not hesitate to recommend this ignition; I am extremely pleased with it. In my current project, a Jeep CJ2 that I'm restoring, I intend to install a Pertronix. One thing to keep in mind is that if you plan to sell your vintage vehicle, make sure you keep all of the original parts you remove; another collector might be interested in them!.
I had been debating whether or not to upgrade my 1967 Massey Ferguson 135 to electronic ignition for quite some time, and I'm glad I did. It is simple to put together. It's also running more smoothly than it's ever been!.
This was installed in conjunction with the PerTronix 40611 Flame-Resistant Flame-Resistant Flame-Resistant Flame-Resistant Flame On my Massey Ferguson MF-100, I have a thrower listed on Amazon. Tractor model 165. The tractor is powered by a Continental engine, which was simple to set up. The existing coil was replaced with the above-mentioned 3 Ohm coil. Removed the distributor plate, which was one piece with the points and cap. Replaced the old plate with a new one that had an electronic sensor. Installed the rotor sleeve and used the provided gauge to adjust the gap. Connect the three wires after replacing the rotor and cap. The engine started right up, and the advance setting was so close that no adjustments were necessary. The engine now runs a lot smoother and has a lot more power.
I've bought Pertronix kits to replace every set of points I've ever had. When you're at idle, does your ignition timing jump around? The breaker points are most likely worn or misaligned. They don't last long, but with this kit, that's no longer a problem. It's simple to install, but make sure the red wire is connected before the coil's ballast resistor, if it has one.
I am the envy of our club because the old IH tractor starts and runs so smoothly. Before purchasing, I called Pertronix for help selecting a new coil, and the representative was extremely helpful-- took the time to go over the application criteria for each of the three options. Before making a purchase, I recommend going to their website. Here's a tractor jockey who's happy with his job.
On a John Deere tractor from the 1960s, we reversed the battery polarity. We had to replace an electronic module that had been installed by a previous owner as part of this process. The tractor wouldn't start at first, so we followed the troubleshooting instructions and ended up replacing the B wire, which fixed the problem. The voltage drop to the unit appears to be a big factor.
My Atomic A4 sighs with contentment.
It really works.
