Yes, this superchip is compatible with your car. In terms of improving gas mileage, superchips have the potential to increase miles per gallon by a small amount; however, whether you actually see an increase in gas mileage depends on how your vehicle is operated, such as speed, load, and conditions, as well as the energy content of the fuel burned. Please read about the 0L V6 engine. I received prompt delivery and the item was exactly as described; however, it did not fit my vehicle (despite the fact that it stated that it would). This is not the fault of the seller (Juiced Hybrid), as my vehicle (03 Ford Explorer XLT 4) was listed as compatible on the Superchips website. 0L V6). "E-" was the error code I kept getting. I called Superchips after trying to tune my truck and getting a 22" reading. Despite the fact that they were aware that my vehicle was incompatible, they still listed it as such. They told me that if you have a Ford Explorer 4 from 2001 to 2003, you should get it fixed. If you have a 0L V6 with a PTEC relay (which is pretty much all of them), this programmer will not be able to connect to your ECU and will need to be reprogrammed. write the program (which means you're stuck with a $400 paper weight). The seller (Juiced Hybrid) went above and beyond in terms of customer service and promptly refunded my money (hence my 5-star rating). Despite the fact that the item did not perform as expected, I had a good time. The mixup was not caused by the sellers. It's all because of Superchips. br>br>If you need to buy something and Juiced Hybrid has it for sale, I recommend you do so. During my return, every interaction was prompt and courteous (something that is becoming increasingly rare these days). days). This seller is someone with whom I would do business again. br>br>I hope this review has been of assistance.
This is what I installed in my 2008 F250 superduty diesel. The average improvement in miles per gallon is between 1 and 2 miles per gallon. In performance mode, it is quick, but it cannot tow anything. In fuel economy mode, the performance is similar to that of the factory setting. Don't waste your money; the one I installed in my Chevy 03 diesel improved fuel economy and performance by 5 miles per gallon. The best part is that unlike Ford, Chevy installed it without voiding the warranty.
" In order to tow our fifth wheel, we installed a 1950 cortex superchip in our 2003 Ford F250. The truck appeared to tow worse after the chip was installed than before. Chip didn't appear to have any effect.
Only Premium fuel (Octane 91) was compatible with the Cortex tuner, which resulted in a 2 mpg loss at low speeds. There were supposed to be four pre-tuned performance levels, but there were only two. Octane 87 and Octane 91 are two different types of octane. Octane 87 has a high degree of unpredictability. A 2 mpg loss is also present. Perhaps the Cortex is better suited to other vehicles, but it didn't work well with my 2008 Mustang GT. It was only useful for shifting gears.
My 2010 Ford F150 XLT 4 has this product installed. Very pleased with the 3L V8 Supercrew. I was around 15 years old at the time. I used to get 6 MPG and now I get 17 MPG. 2 - 7 miles, depending on traffic and other factors, and I get 27 miles on the highway. I also have Dynomax Catback exhaust and will be getting a CAI soon. A 2005 Ford Expedition 5 is also in my possession. I get 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway with a 4L V8 with CAI and Chip.
Although the vehicle was programmed, the vehicle fan continued to run at high speed, even when the vehicle was cold. When I contacted Superchips, I was given the runaround until I was finally able to get the issue to the Engineers. They said it would take a week, so I updated the programmer again, but the problem remained unsolved. I'm returning it today because, even though I've owned one before and had no problems for $400, I shouldn't have to wait for Superchips to respond.
I also added a cold air intake and a flowmaster exhaust, and my truck now has the acceleration of a rocket. I've been changing the settings, and it appears to be doing what it says.
