Questions & Answers

In my f250 6, I installed a hypertech programmer. 0 deisel won't start, and a code appears, stating that it's a 6 f code and that it can't find the vin?

Well, I can't speak to your specific vehicle issue, but when I first got the same programmer for my Chrysler 300 SRT8, it said the same thing: "Can't find Vin." I went online and downloaded the correct program for this vehicle because the programmer comes with a lot of different programs when you first get it. You must program the programmer in order for it to recognize your vehicle. The power pin on the SRT8 obll connector was missing in my case, so I couldn't communicate with the programmer. I called their customer service department and they told me that after I took a picture of the connector and told them which pins were active (I believe they communicate with 8 pin connectors). They said it wouldn't work with my car and that no programmer would be able to help me. They were incorrect because I returned this programmer and purchased a Bully Dog programmer that works perfectly; however, before purchasing the programmer, I called Bully Dog and spoke with their Tech line to determine which pins were active; however, you must first download all of the updates on any programmer to match your vehicle. It can seriously damage your computer if you don't do it correctly. Best wishes to you.

Is it possible to change the gear ratios in the rear end with this?

There is no way to adjust for different gear ratios because there isn't one. I believe there was once a speed odometer adjustment based on tire size, but I don't believe it ever worked properly and was dropped as an option.

Is it necessary to upload it before it can be installed on the vehicle? Can't seem to get it to work on the Liberty 08?

It depends on the device's current programming; however, if it isn't, it's fairly simple. It only takes two minutes and requires a Windows computer. You can check their website to see if this particular one is compatible with an 08 Liberty.

It's suitable for a wide range of applications
3/5

My vehicle is a 2008 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited. br>While it performed admirably for a variety of tasks, it fell short of my primary goal of controlling the radiator fan. It can only check whether the radiator fan is working or not, but it can't set the lower and upper temperatures at which the fan should start and stop. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> br>br>I made a mistake when downloading the upgrade, but now that I've downloaded the correct version, it does everything I want it to. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> br>br>Unfortunately, I discovered that the Hypertech update does not allow for proper control of the radiator electric fan's low and high speeds. The thermostat control, which turns on the high-speed fan, is present, but it operates in an inconsistent manner, putting the engine in grave danger. br>br>I firmly believe Hypertch should investigate this matter.

Chrysler Products offer the most bang for the buck

Dodge Nitro SE 4x4 2010, Dodge Nitro SE 4x4 2010, Dodge Nitro SE 4x4 2010, Dodge Nitro 7 Pros of the Engine: This is an excellent program. It fixes all of the 3's flaws. 7-speed transmission. This program fixes the truck's odd shifting pattern. When you apply just a little acceleration on the expressway, it corrects the "fall on its face. " In the low RPM range, it adds a lot of torque. Three of them are in my truck: We have 73 gears, so the extra torque is great, and we'll see how the gas mileage is. My wife is the one who drives it the majority of the time, so she might benefit. If I drive it, I'll take advantage of the extra TQ and HP. This programmer has exceeded my expectations! I previously used Hypertech on a 1998 Dakota 4x4 with a 318 engine. That truck was VERY much awakened by Hypertech. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. The programmer, as is customary, does not include software for modern vehicles. "This programmer is not compatible with this vehicle," it says right away. Before going online, double-check the part number. " As a result, you must load a driver from a CD and fiddle around with ambiguous instructions. VERIFY THAT YOU HAVE THE WINDOWS UPDATE ON! Hypertech should make it clear on the sites where they are sold that they will need to be updated, in my opinion. You will have a difficult time if you do not know how to use a computer.

It's a Word That Gets People's Attention
5/5

For the past year and a half, I've been using this programmer. I didn't have high hopes for it, but I hoped for the best. Given the price tag, one must be cautiously optimistic. br>br>In the last year and a half, I've turned on and off the program numerous times. I've put my results and performance through their paces, and I've felt as strongly as I can. The most important thing I've decided to say about it is that the difference is 'noticeable. ' I'm at a loss for words to express my feelings about it, whether positive or negative. br>br>I own a Jeep Liberty from 2010. I gave it five stars because, after doing a lot of research before purchasing, I didn't expect much. Also, for those who have never driven a vehicle with a CVT transmission, the KK Liberty shifts strangely. The Hypertech was able to clean up some of the shifting. There is also a slight increase in power. With the Hypertech, I was able to get a solid 5% improvement in gas mileage, and sometimes even more. Overall, I'm pleased with it and believe it was well worth the investment. But I would be quite disappointed if I had expected a significant improvement in power or 15% or more fuel mileage improvement. br>br>It is simple to use the programmer. The programmer can be updated by anyone with a basic understanding of computers. It takes some time to program the vehicle, and I can see how the instructions (turning the key to 'on' versus 'run') might confuse some people. It takes only a few minutes to return the vehicle to its original state. Putting on the power program does, in my opinion, especially when it is extremely hot or cold outside. br>br>Also, I don't believe any of the specific settings for the Liberty work, such as tire size selection, etc. br>br>I have noticed that now that I have 255-pound tires, I have noticed that. With 70 R16s on steel wheels, the difference in fuel mileage between when the program is turned on and when it is turned off appears to be greater. br>br>When I take it to the dealer, I remove the program. I'm still covered by my powertrain warranty, so I go to the dealer for more things than I will when it expires. In addition, I take it down prior to inspections. If that's the case, make sure you drive it for at least 50 minutes. One hundred kilometers. When I simply returned it to stock and returned it to the shop, I had codes pulled. br>br>Once, when loading the power program, I had a misfire, to say the least, and it wasn't pretty. I'm not sure what I did wrong, but the KK wouldn't drive properly after that. Things were flashing in front of my eyes, and I was terrified. I couldn't seem to get the Hypertech to work again. All of this is to say this. Hypertech was friendly and helpful when I called. In a nutshell, all I had to do was remove the battery and let it sit for a while, which reset everything and allowed me to use the programmer again. Those of you who are familiar with programmers would have figured it out quickly. However, knowing that Hypertech was a pleasant company to work with was comforting. br>br>At the moment, I'm experimenting with other mods on my KK and considering purchasing a B. PCM flash in G. So it's possible that my time with the Hypertech is coming to an end.

It's absolutely fantastic! Install this on my 2008 Ram with a 4 cylinder engine
5/5

7 liter. I wanted to lift my truck and change the tire size, so I needed a simple device that could adjust my speedometer, check trouble codes, and tune it up. Hypertech's dyno chart stated that it provided 47 horsepower to my vehicle, and I believe that using this product makes a huge difference.
