This replaced an Accel distributor cap and rotor, and the Hypertech rotor was a little tighter than the one it replaced. I'm sure I wouldn't have to worry if the fit was a little loose because the cap would keep it in place, but I like knowing the rotor doesn't move up and down. br>The Accel cap and rotor had lasted me about three years, so it was time to replace them, and after doing so, I noticed a significant improvement in the engine's smoothness. This cap and rotor have exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend them. br>One issue I had was with the screws that hold the cap in place; they seemed a little small, and I couldn't tighten one because my distributor appeared to be stripped. I tightened the screws by replacing them with the ones from the cap that I had just removed.
Made in the United States of America. When inspecting the aluminum contact terminals in the distributor cap, they are always heavily corroded. Cupro-nickel is found in brass. Copper in its purest form is preferable. Without a doubt, this component will outlast the others. I simply prefer parts made in the United States to parts made in China. Why risk getting lower-quality bargain parts if it will only cost a few dollars more?.
3 V6. My 93 Chevy C1500 4 didn't have this option. 3 V6, the distributor and rotor were both too large, despite the fact that the Amazon site indicated that they would be. The product appeared to be of good quality and was manufactured in the United States of America. One of the two screws, however, was missing.
The Hypertech cap and rotor are of the same Made in USA quality that MSD was once known for, but is no longer.
It's well-made and fits perfectly. The truck is in excellent condition.
Fits my 1991 Chev 350 V8 perfectly. I wanted brass contacts in the cap, and this was a good quality unit at a good price.
Excellent craftsmanship. I'm pleased to have purchased a product that is made in the United States at a reasonable cost.
A good value for money product.
