This item does not include a starter cable.

Is the thread pitch the same on my egt sensor, which came in two pieces? I'm filling a hole that already exists?

On mine, I used the existing hole and haven't had any issues.

Only 3 months were left on the fourth probe

This is my fourth probe, and the first one only lasted a few months before failing. I've been told it's because of faulty engine grounds on Duramax engines, but I've double-checked all grounds and even added one to no avail. I also don't understand why it would work for three months and then stop. When accelerating or pulling a load, it reads around 100 degrees, and when the truck is idling in the driveway, it reads around 2000 degrees. The Edge CTS monitors are great for everything else, but I'm going to stick with a pillar-mounted gauge to keep track of my egts. In my other Duramax, I installed an auto meter egt gauge, which has been working flawlessly for the past eight years. So that's the path I'd suggest.

The picture is not accurate; I should have read more; the price was reasonable for the product in comparison to what I could have paid with the wiring harness included. That's all it will teach me is to read more carefully. As a result, I won't be able to install it until I receive the wiring harness.

The image and description make it appear that this item includes a cable for use with EDGE CTS models. This is not the case. This cable (which is clearly visible in the seller's photo) must be purchased separately.

The 12v Universal Kit is what you're looking for. THE CUTTING EDGE If you're running the CTS or CTS2, the Amazon ads will convince you that you need to use this. If you're unfamiliar with these systems, the picture might lead you to believe that the starter cable is also included. It isn't. I believe the starter cable was included in one of the two, if not both, in the Edge or Amazon literature. a CTS 2. You'd think it would be included with the CTS2 at the very least, but it isn't. Regardless, I was led to believe that I required this in order to read EGTs on my CTS2. According to one of the EDGE representatives I spoke with, this is the only way. Not true. I was already plumbed with a probe when I bought this on Amazon, but it was extremely inconvenient. the word edging advertising literature False on all counts. If your home is already wired with sensors, save your money. the universal 12v kit should be purchased.

Please assist me as soon as possible. The vehicle's main cable is missing, and I've already drilled and tapped it. Now I'm stuck with a hold in my header and no way to work around it. What can we do to get this sorted out as quickly as possible? Please get in touch as soon as possible.
